Eyeseryl All-in, Lubrizol peptide for eyes

The active ingredient for the eye contour PFAS-free

New market challenges must be addressed with ever-innovative products and an approach that best captures consumer needs and the ongoing changes in the personal care sector. With this spirit Lubrizol, one of the leading global chemical giants in the production of specialty chemicals, presented itself at the 2026 edition of PCHi, the international event for ‘Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients’ held in Hangzhou, China, from March 18 to 20. HPC Today, media partner of the event, took the opportunity to interview Mr. Xin Liu, Regional Marketing Manager APAC, Lubrizol Life Science.

“We have a global first show ingredient which is Eyeseryl® All-In peptide, it’s an upgraded version of our existing product, it has a more advanced technology which can meet face care needs”, Mr. Xin Liu explains talking about the product, an AI-designed peptide developed to deliver comprehensive eye contour care by targeting multiple skin structures-including, for the first time, ligaments and muscles. Designed to bind the PAR-1 receptor, the ingredient combines computational peptide modelling with in-house scientific refinement. Its dual-action mechanism helps regulate vascular permeability and inflammatory signalling while directly supporting the epidermis, dermis, adipose tissue, muscle, and ligaments.

“We have also launched two other innovations. One of them was presented in a new technology session earlier today and focuses on ways of utilizing Sensomer™ Cassia 115 polymer, which is another naturally derived polymer for us, and how we can best utilize it in cleansing formulations. We have some findings to share with our customers -continues Lubrizol’s Regional Marketing Manager-. The other innovation is based on an ingredient called Telophi™ biotech ingredient, we introduced last year after PCHi. We believe it is a good candidate for the Chinese market, as it also offers unique performance. We want the market to recognize us not only for peptides but also for biotechnology, so we are highlighting these three topics. In addition, many of our traditional technologies are also being used beyond personal care. This is the first time we are showcasing them in oral care at this event, as we believe there are customers not only working in personal care but also exploring new opportunities in other applications”.

For Eyeseryl® All-In peptide, Lubrizol has conducted studies on models of aging cells and tissues, demonstrating benefits such as a reduction in wrinkles, improved structural support, activation of muscle stem cells, protection of ligament cells, reduced glycation, and support for lipid metabolism to help minimize the appearance of under-eye bags caused by fat accumulation. This naturally occurring peptide is produced using renewable amino acids and green chemistry principles, aligning its performance with sustainability goals. Mr. Xin Liu then expands on the concept of innovation and local strategy. “I believe innovation is a very broad concept. It is not just about bringing new products to market; it also involves finding new ways of working, introducing new practices to the industry, and organizing ourselves to serve customers more effectively. All of this can be considered innovation. What we have presented so far—mainly our product concepts—is only a small part of it. Soon, we will also engage and collaborate with key customers to explore entirely new ways of working together.

To give you an example, we have introduced a new capability in China: a facility called the Beauty Research Institute. Part of its role is to support the global innovation team in validating new technologies in the Chinese market, and more broadly across Asia. In addition, it serves as a hub for co-developing innovations in close collaboration with our customers”.

And on future challenges he concludes. “We are still facing challenges due to many uncertainties in the world, from supply chain issues to ever-changing consumer habits. However, our hope is to overcome these together as a team—not just internally, but by collaborating closely with our customers, business partners, and suppliers. Our goal is to deliver innovation more efficiently and with high quality. This is our vision: to better serve both consumer and customer needs in this market. I believe we will be here for a long time. Our top management has shown great commitment, and their decision to visit us multiple times a year is a significant sign of that. Our leadership loves working with Chinese customers and seeing the progress we make toward our vision. While this creates a certain amount of pressure to perform, it also motivates us to deliver even better results”.
