Since 2016, the world’s leading referencing database for cosmetics testing has built a unique ecosystem bringing together over 9,000 experts from 124 countries, 500 laboratories, and more than 800 methods and technologies.
Aix-les-Bains, April 2026 — Skinobs, the premier global platform dedicated to referencing preclinical and clinical cosmetic tests, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its platform launch in 2026. Founded in 2013 based on the vision of Anne Charpentier—an expert in cosmetic evaluation for over 25 years—Skinobs has established itself as the reference infrastructure for an industry in constant flux. From its first listings in 2016 to the comprehensive ecosystem it represents today—comprising the platform, online media, ZOOM magazine, FOCUS discussion panels, and more—the company traces a journey of continuous innovation serving the global evaluation sector.
A Genesis Rooted in Field Experience
The Skinobs story began with a simple observation: in 2013, when an American colleague of Anne Charpentier was looking for a laboratory in Southeast Asia for an innovative anti-aging study, it took nearly eight days to identify the right provider. The lack of reliable, exhaustive, and centralized global information on testing methods and laboratories was glaring.
Drawing on this experience and her extensive career, Anne Charpentier set out to build a platform alongside industry stakeholders—R&D and evaluation managers, testing laboratories, and instrumentation manufacturers—to structure and provide global access to cosmetic testing information. Based in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie (France), she chose to self-fund the project to preserve its independence.

A Word from the Founder
“Ten years ago, we started with a simple observation: finding the right testing laboratory and the right method in the right country took a considerable amount of time. Today, Skinobs has become the independent, exhaustive, and reliable ecosystem we envision. What makes me proudest is the trust that 9,000 experts from 124 countries place in us today. We are only at the beginning of this adventure.” — Anne Charpentier, Founder & CEO of Skinobs
Outlook for 2026 and Beyond
2026 marks a new stage in the evolution of Skinobs with the launch of “My Laboratory Space,” a smart dashboard providing testing providers with permanent visibility, real-time industry statistics, and direct access to qualified leads from major global brands. Skinobs is also continuing the rollout of its freemium model, designed to open platform access to a wider audience while reinforcing the value offered to long-standing partners.
By 2030, Skinobs aims to become the indispensable database for global cosmetic testing, capitalizing on its rich data—which reflects testing intentions even before products hit the market—and the strength of its international community of experts.
