A.I.S.E., the European Association for Detergents and Maintenance Products, has a long tradition over the last 25 years of proactive work towards sustainable production and consumption for the whole detergents and maintenance product industry. A.I.S.E. prioritises proactive engagement with EU policy makers, to drive forward a coherent legislative process that fosters innovation, sustainable development, and a circular economy, to realise the full benefits of the European Single Market. Our work is closely aligned with various EU initiatives relating to the EU Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP).

Sustainable feedstocks – A roadmap to increase the number of cleaning products that use sustainable ingredients

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) serves the growth and innovation of the U.S. cleaning products industry by advancing the health and quality of life of people and protecting our planet. With a continued commitment to sustainability, its experts have developed guidance and associated roadmaps on key raw materials used in the cleaning product supply chain to increase the number of products on the market that use more sustainable ingredients.

These roadmaps are developed by: (1) Identifying relevant feedstocks, risks and sustainability opportunities across cleaning ingredient portfolios; (2) Increasing the use of more sustainable feedstocks and feedstocks created with more sustainable production practices across cleaning ingredient portfolios; and (3) Collaborating across the cleaning products value chain to drive increased transparency, availability and adoption of more sustainable feedstocks.

AAD 2023 SCIENCE OF NUTRACEUTICALS AND COSMECEUTICALS*

Topical skin care agents and possible complications were presented for a broad population, including skin of color. Innovations and market trends in topical anti-aging technologies and formulations for the face and body were also discussed. The session provided available data to aid the attendee in assessing the current state of cosmeceutical and nutraceutical science for implementation in clinical practice.
