Beijing, 19 August 2026 — Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) announces that nominations for the PCHi Fountain Awards 2027 are now open. One of the industry’s most prestigious accolades, the PCHi Fountain Awards recognizes outstanding innovation in personal care and cosmetic ingredient technologies. The Awards will be presented at PCHi 2027, taking place 24–26 February 2027 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Exhibiting companies are invited to submit their most innovative products for consideration.
Celebrating Innovation, Creativity, and Excellence
First launched in 2010 as the China Personal Care & Cosmetic Technology Innovation Awards and renamed the PCHi Fountain Awards in 2017, the program has become a hallmark of the industry, celebrating groundbreaking products and technologies shaping the future of personal care. Throughout, it has upheld its core tenets of authority and impartiality, professionalism and safety, and innovation and inclusiveness. This sharpened focus continues into 2027, spotlighting the ingredient and product innovations driving the industry forward across five entry categories: Active Ingredients, Pioneering Innovative Ingredients, Formulation & Functional Ingredients, Green/Sustainable, and Finished-Product Brands (including OEM/ODM) Self-Developed Ingredients.
The judging system has also been refined for this cycle, built around five evaluation pillars — technical excellence, scientific validity, product efficacy and safety, practical application and market potential, and the thoroughness and clarity of submitted documentation. Each pillar is supported by a defined set of scoring standards and a list of required supporting materials to guide jury evaluation.
The judging panel comprises representatives from national industry regulatory bodies, national industry associations, leading universities, and senior executives from renowned brand companies, alongside members of PCHi’s Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC). To ensure fairness and impartiality, the panel rotates regularly and follows an independent, back-to-back evaluation process at every stage.
Industry participation has remained strong in recent years. The 2026 edition received 295 product submissions and 19 engineer nominations, with 33 products and three engineers ultimately honored following evaluation by a 25-member judging panel.
“The Fountain Awards captures the spirit of innovation at the heart of PCHi. This year’s refined judging system reflects our commitment to keeping the Awards rigorous and relevant as the industry evolves. The Awards give standout ingredient technologies and formulation science the recognition and visibility to reach the wider industry,” said an RSE spokesperson.
Eligibility and How to Enter
All PCHi 2027 exhibitors are eligible to enter. This edition also opens entry to finished-brand exhibitors at CAME 2026 and CAME 2027, who may submit their self-developed ingredients — extending the Awards beyond raw material suppliers alone. Products must have launched on or after 1 November 2025. Each company may enter up to three products, and each product may be nominated in only one category.
Every entry requires supporting documentation, including product specifications, efficacy and safety data, and a description of the innovation. This allows the panel to assess each product against verifiable, like-for-like criteria. Entrants warrant the authenticity of all materials provided, and any entry found to misrepresent product data will be removed from consideration.
Nominations are made through the Exhibitor Portal, where entry and review run entirely online. All documents must be provided in both Chinese and English, and the deadline is 23:00 (GMT+8) on 23 November 2026.
Spotlight at PCHi 2027
A dedicated Fountain Awards display area at PCHi 2027 will place finalists in front of thousands of industry professionals, with direct opportunities to connect with the sector’s decision-makers and innovators. Finalists will be announced in late January 2027, with winners revealed at the PCHi Fountain Awards 2027 Ceremony on 24 February.
