Mérieux NutriSciences | Pharma & Healthcare’s CosmeticLAB to showcase evidence-driven innovation at in-cosmetics Global 2026

At in-cosmetics Global 2026 in Paris, Mérieux NutriSciences | Pharma & Healthcare will highlight how scientific evidence and regulatory expertise are becoming essential drivers for cosmetic innovation. Through its CosmeticLAB division, the company will present a dual scientific approach designed to support brands facing increasing regulatory complexity and evolving consumer expectations.

Under the theme “Two sides. One scientific approach”, Mérieux NutriSciences | Pharma & Healthcare will focus on two complementary pillars: Real Life studies and Complex Chemistry under regulatory control. This integrated strategy reflects the growing need for reliable data that supports both product performance and regulatory compliance throughout the development lifecycle.

The first pillar, Real Life Studies, addresses the demand for robust claims and meaningful consumer insights. From efficacy and safety to sensory perception, CosmeticLAB designs studies that generate reliable outcomes and market-ready insights. By combining fast study execution with scientifically validated methodologies, it enables brands to translate user experience into credible claims and confident decision-making.

The second pillar focuses on Complex Chemistry under Regulatory Controls, addressing emerging regulatory challenges such as PFAS and nanomaterials. Through advanced analytical capabilities and regulatory expertise, the company supports manufacturers in handling complex chemical landscapes while ensuring compliance with evolving European requirements. This approach helps brands manage innovation responsibly while maintaining speed-to-market.

As part of its presence at the event, Mérieux NutriSciences | Pharma & Healthcare will host two technical seminars exploring key regulatory topics shaping the cosmetics industry. Emiliano De Dominicis, Chemistry Research Director, will present “PFAS in cosmetics: analytical evidence to address French regulatory pressure and future EU compliance,” focusing on screening strategies, data generation, and compliance planning. Later, Federico Benetti, ECSIN LAB Director, will lead a session titled “Nanomaterials in cosmetics: managing innovation through regulatory-driven analytical insight,” highlighting characterization, safety profiling, and alignment with EU expectations.

Visitors to the Mérieux NutriSciences | Pharma & Healthcare booth will have the opportunity to engage directly with experts and explore how evidence-driven science can support product development, regulatory readiness, and innovation strategies.
